I’ve always thought the NHL All-Star Game needed a shakeup to get viewers back and this just might be it. It’s absolutely not what the NHL wanted, having an enforcer who has played in just a handful of games this year participate in their biggest flashiest weekend. Yet after the joke of a game that was played last year, this might just be what makes everyone tune in. It’s the story of one stroke of luck for someone just sitting on the edge of stardom. One of those grinding, hard working players, suddenly being the star of the game he loves. It’s something I can get behind, seeing this tough guy skate his heart out to give the best players in the game a run for their money. I bet they’ll try and get him some goals, I bet he will play his heart out and I will be sitting on my couch after the game with a warm feeling in my heart and a giant grin on my face.
